Spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier below.

Fans of Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier were treated to a surprise during the third episode when a familiar face from Wakanda showed up.

Dora Milaje warrior Ayo (Florence Kasumba) has entered the new hit Marvel TV show. Ayo comes on the scene after Bucky (Sebastian Stan) tracks down Wakandan technology near where he and the Falcon (Antony Mackie) are hunting Zemo (Daniel Brühl). Ayo also wants Zemo, but for revenge for the death of King T’Chaka (portrayed in Captain America: Civil War by John Kani).

Ayo’s entrance into the series should remind fans of her first appearance in Civil War, linking her directly to Bucky, Falcon, and Zemo. It’s a poignant reminder since it means fans will have to continue preparing for a Wakanda without Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa.

If Wakanda is moving on, despite trying to settle old scores, it also means that the country has wrestled with whatever event took place that will lead to a new king or queen. We’ll just have to see what that could be when Black Panther 2 comes to theaters.
