The Golden Girls is getting a recreation, but it’s not exactly what you may think. It’s not a television reboot, but a Zoom one-time special for everyone to see.

The Zoom recreation will star Tracee Ellis Ross, Sanaa Lathan, Alfre Woodard and Regina King. All of them shared the news and an image on Instagram, indicating that Lathan will be Blanche, King will be Dorothy, Ross will be Rose and Woodard will be Sophia. It will be directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.

An official description reads, “We bring to you our rendition of Golden Girls, reimagined with an all-black cast of your favorite actresses: Alfre Woodard, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sanaa Lathan, and Regina King, directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and hosted by Lena Waithe.”

This is a part of Mobilize’s Zoom Where It Happens, which is in partnership with Zoom. The episode will highlight Color of Change. It is unclear if they will be reenacting a pre-existing episode or not.

You can register to attend the event, set for Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EST, here.
