Nominations for the London Film Critics’ Circle Awards were announced and some of our faves got unexpected, but well-deserved nominations. Chief among them is Regina King, who after being egregious snub by the Screen Actors Guild awards for her Oscar-worthy performance in If Beale Street Could Talk, was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Joining her is Cynthia Erivo, who was nominated for her role as Darlene in Bad Times At The El Royale.

Another surprise was Daniel Kaluuya, who has been shut out of the awards season conversation for his chilling portrayal of Jatemme Manning in Steve McQueen’s acclaimed heist film Widows.  The Academy Award nominee earned double nominations for Supporting Actor Of The Year and British Irish/Actor Of The Year.
