Paramount has released the trailer for The Lovebirds, the upcoming film starring Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani. The film will make its world premiere in March at the SXSW Film Festival before being released in theaters in April.
Michael Showalter, who directed Nanjiani in The Big Sick, is the director. Aaron Abrams and Brendan Gall did the screenplay.
The official description: A couple (Rae & Nanjiani) experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme–and hilarious–circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
