Leslie David Baker is taking matters into his own hands and is raising funds for a spinoff involving his long-suffering character from The Office, Stanley Hudson.

The actor and his business partner Sadar Khan have launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a spinoff series for his character, who quickly became a fan favorite for his constant annoyance with his office surroundings. The spinoff pitch, Uncle Stan: Coming Out of Retirement, will follow Stanley’s retirement in Florida, “carving wood, enjoying the white sand beaches and dancing to old disco.” Stanley’s retirement is interrupted by his nephew Lucky, who wants his help raising his two kids and running his motorcycle/flower shop in Los Angeles. Because of his nephew’s plea, Stanley goes to his nephew to help him get his professional and personal life on track.

Baker announced the Kickstarter on Instagram while in character as Stanley.

He also released a video thanking fans for their support.

Since its launch July 2, the Kickstarter campaign has already raised over $28,000 of its $300,000 goal as of writing this article.
