‘The View’ Hosts Shocked To Discover Whoopi Goldberg Has No Eyebrows: 'I Look Right Into Your Eyes And I Did Not Know'

On The View, Whoopi Goldberg’s trademark look caused some discussion.

Despite some of the hosts sitting next to her for years, Goldberg’s colleagues were astonished to realize she doesn’t have any eyebrows during a debate about bleached brows taking over Hollywood.

1. On Monday's show, Goldberg brought up the subject, telling viewers, “I have to do this with a straight face,” before continuing, “Stars like Kendall Jenner, Lady Gaga and Doja Cat are getting in on the trend of shaving or bleaching their eyebrows.”

She asked the rest of the panel, “How do you feel about this no-brow look?” while pointedly tilting her head and raising her brows at the camera.

2. Sara Haines was the first to respond

She revealed that in their six years of sitting next to each other on the show, she had never noticed Goldberg’s absence of eyebrows.

“I look right into your eyes and I did not know this,” she said.

3. Sunny Hostin asked Goldberg if she “ever had eyebrows,” and Goldberg confirmed that yes, she had them as a little kid, but her mother “removed them” after she broke out with bumps on her face

She explained she has kept up with the practice because she is so used to it, saying: “I don’t know my face with eyebrows unless I’m working.”

4. Ana Navarro chimed in, adding, “I, too, was today-years-old when I noticed you had no eyebrows,” confessing she didn’t notice when Goldberg’s brows were “painted on” for film and TV roles.

“What you can see on my face is, you know where they went. You know where they are, right? You see, and so when you look at me, your eye sees eyebrows where there are none, ” Goldberg demonstrated and explained to her cohosts.
