Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar took former The View co-host Jedediah Bila for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Decider, the conservative commentator was a part of The View between 2016 and 2017, but was invited back to the show to promote her new book. While promoting her book, she also decided to use her platform to push more rhetoric about the vaccine, citing that she hadn’t been vaccinated because of her “sky-high, multi-tiered, multi-faceted natural immunity.” She also claimed she was given a medical exemption from getting vaccinated by her doctor. In her words, she claims she’s not against getting vaccinated, but she’s against mandates.

“The vaccine does not prevent you from getting COVID and it does not prevent you from transmitting COVID,” she said before Hostin and Behar argued against her, with Behar joking, “You have been at Fox News too long.” Hostin also added that Bila’s viewpoints were “too dangerous to be on air.”

Hostin said that the parents of her husband, Dr. Emmanuel "Manny" Hostin, both died from the illness, making Bila's comments seem even more ghoulish in comparison.

“You know what, Jed? 762,000 people have died from COVID, including [Hostin’s husband] Manny’s parents,” she said. “We’ve been friends a long time, but I don’t understand you can prioritize your ‘freedoms’ over public health and safety.”

Viewers praised Behar and Hostin for checking Bila’s misinformation, with one writing, “She sounded ridiculous. I don’t want to hear about anyone else and their antibodies in reference to #Covid_19. We’re done with foolishness for the rest of the year.”

Another wrote, "Joy AND Sunny had time today, to pull down Jed's right-wing strongholds! WHEW!! GLORY BE!"

Regular The View watchers know these fireworks around politics are par for the course; Whoopi Goldberg, Behar and Hostin have collectively gathered several conservative commentators. Most notable is their former co-host, Meghan McCain, who has since written about her experience on the show in her latest book.
