The Young and the Restless will see a casting switcheroo next month.

Denise Boutte will temporarily replace Leigh-Ann Rose as Imani Benedict on the long-running daytime soap opera.

As reported by Soaps in Depth, Rose is temporarily vacating the role as she has scheduling conflicts with another project. Boutte will play the role for a batch of episodes beginning Sept. 6.

Rose was introduced as Imani, a sister of Amanda Sinclair and Hillary Curtis (both played by Mishael Morgan). As viewers see especially as of recent, she is constantly vying for Nate (Sean Dominic), although Nate is in a relationship.

Boutte is a familiar face to many who has played on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives as Danielle. She also notably starred in the Tyler Perry sitcom Meet The Browns as Sasha. She’s also been on Stan Against Evil, Bronx SIU, Why Did I Get Married? and more.
