'They Cloned Tyrone': Brian Tyree Henry To Star In Juel Taylor-Directed Thriller Likened To 'Get Out'

Brian Tyree Henry has been cast to star in They Cloned Tyrone, the directorial debut from Creed II writer Juel Taylor that is produced by MACRO.

Not much is known about the film right now, only that it is a “contained thriller in the vein of Get Out.”

Taylor will co-write the script with Tony Rettenmaier.

After having a stellar 2018 with performances in White Boy Rick, Hotel Artemis, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, If Beale Street Could Talk and Widows, 2019 looks to be even busier for the Atlanta star.

He’s wrapped production on Superintelligence with Melissa McCarthy, The Woman in the Window with Amy Adams, The Outside Story with Sonequa Martin-Green and Child’s Play with Aubrey Plaza. He is currently filming Godzilla vs. Kong with Millie Bobby Brown.

Variety first broke the news of the project.
