This Is Us has come to an end, and while fans of the Pearson family are reeling for the show reaching a conclusion, the stars and creator are finding the joy in the sorrow.

“The end of This Is Us has been a bittersweet but lovely march for those of us who have worked on it,” said creator Dan Fogelman on social media. “We’ve had so many occasions to clink glasses, and give fits and say sentimental things to other sentimental people at a sentimental moment in time.”

He added that he hopes that whether fans “stayed from to finish, or lapsed somewhere in between…I hope tonight satisfies and leaves you thinking, and feeling, and even smiling. I hope it makes you feel as full as your response to the show has made us feel, all these years. Thank you for taking this train ride with us. It’s been the trip of a lifetime.”

Sterling K. Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson also wrote, "Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our sweet R&B hearts for being on this journey with us and sharing yours in the process. We love you! Yours truly, R&B."

Brown also told co-stars Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be your brother! Let’s all go do wonderful things, and if you need anything, I’m here! Ta ta for now!”

Mandy Moore also tweeted, "As we close out the final chapter, let me leave you with this…'Take the risks. Make the big moves, even if they're small moves. Forge ahead with your lives in any and every direction that moves you. I'm asking you to be fearless.' - Rebecca Pearson."

Chris Sullivan also posted to Instagram how it was hard for him to believe that the final episode was upon them.

“What matters is who you do life with and we’re so glad we’ve been able to spend the last 6 years/seasons of life with each other, and with YOU. This is US!!”
