This video of Ryan Coogler meeting a young fan will give you all of the feels.

Twitter user @nostalgiaonfilm posted a clip from film critic Elvis Mitchell’s Epix series Elvis Goes There featuring Ryan Coogler. During the interview, a young girl and her family come up to Coogler. The girl is dressed as her favorite Black Panther character, Shuri. Cuteness ensues.

Seeing Coogler speechless shows just how much Black Panther has had an impact on his life and the lives of young Black boys and girls. The message in the video is also true: you never know who is watching you, so you never know who is inspired by the good you put out in the world. In short, Coogler’s moment with the young fan shows how putting out good, inspiring work will create positive vibrations in society.

Elvis Goes There follows Mitchell as he “travels with A-list filmmakers and actors to places of inspiration around the world with unprecedented access, exploring how each location shaped their work and identity.” Other filmmakers appearing in this docuseries include Paul Feig, Sofia Coppola and Guillermo del Toro. In the premiere episode, on the heels of Black Panther’s historic success, Coogler gave Mitchell an up-close look at Oakland.
