Another day, another gig for Tiffany Haddish.
The breakout star of Girls Trip will voice one of the lead characters and executive produce a new Netflix animated series, Tuca and Bertie, which is from the team behind BoJack Horseman.
The series is a comedy about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan (Haddish), and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird.
Netflix first went into adult animated comedies with BoJack in 2014, with much success.
Haddish has several projects in the works. She stars in the upcoming series The Last O.G. with Tracey Morgan on TNT, has the Kevin Hart film Night School later this year, and has other films The Temp, DC comic mob drama The Kitchen and political thriller The Oath.
Tuca and Bertie has a one-season, 10-episode order.
