Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Harvey Weinstein join Kalief Browder’s family and prominent civil rights activists in a compelling and provocative Live Town Hall event, “Time and Punishment: A Town Hall Discussion With Jay Z And Harvey Weinstein,” on Wednesday, March 8 at 9:00pm ET on Spike TV.

“Time and Punishment” will air live from New York City leading into the second episode of the critically-acclaimed and groundbreaking series “TIME: The Kalief Browder Story.” The special also will air on Spike’s sister networks BET at midnight and VH1.

Kalief’s siblings Akeem, Nicole, Deion, and Kamal will be joined by the family’s attorney Paul Prestia and Jenner Furst who directed and executive produced “TIME: The Kalief Browder Story.”

The host and panelists will be announced shortly.

“TIME: The Kalief Browder Story” is a compelling, six-part documentary event series tells the story of Kalief Browder, a young African-American student who spent three years on Rikers Island without ever being convicted of a crime. The series airs on Spike Wednesdays at 10:00pm ET/PT and is executive produced by include Shawn “Jay Z” Carter, Harvey Weinstein, David C.
