Megyn Kelly has been out at NBC’s Today for two weeks. Viewers of the show seem to be celebrating the change as the morning show’s ratings for the 9 a.m. hour have gone up!

The last week of Megyn Kelly Today gathered 2.522 million viewers with 675K in the news demographic. The first post-Kelly week for Today had around 2.649 million viewers on average, with 752K in the news demographic. This meant the show was up 5 percent and 11 percent in both.

Last week (the second post-Kelly week) was down 1 percent over the previous week but was still above the Kelly average. Her departure also resulted in an increase for ratings in the fourth hour hosted by Hota Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. It is up 7 percent and 11 percent.

Kelly was infamously axed at NBC after making comments on-air during a discussion that she thought blackface was acceptable. This was, of course, after NBC canceled the ratings hit Today’s Take hosted by longtime Black anchors Tamron Hall and Al Roker to make room for Kelly’s flop.
