Todrick Hall, who appeared on the CBS reality show Celebrity Big Brother, has been sued by his landlords for $60,000 in unpaid rent, according to PopCulture.com.

Hall, who only lived in the Sherman Oaks, California, residence for two months, is accused of not paying for his time there. In a video posted to YouTube, Hall allegedly showed off the residence, saying that he had purchased his “dream” home.

The landlords are also demanding that the court cancel his rental contract, require him to pay damages and grant them “all other relief the court deems just and equitable.”

This is quite the fall from grace for the actor, singer and social media star, who first came to our attention back in 2010 on the strength of his viral song celebrating the virtues of the McDonald’s drive-through.

Todrick Hall subsequently gained the support of the Beyhive when he performed a flash mob in a Los Angeles Target featuring the queen’s song, “End of Time.”

Here are five things to know about the social media star.

He got his start on Broadway.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about Hall is that he’s a talented performer. According to Playbill, he has several credits on the Great White Way — including Kinky BootsChicago and The Color Purple.

Hall impressed the judges on "American Idol" with his vocals.

He’s also appeared on the popular reality competition series American Idol, where he was one of the few to impress all the judges, including Simon Cowell.

But he also clashed with Simon Cowell, too.

Despite his ability to impress Cowell during his first audition, the impression did not last. When Hall performed Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” the judge didn’t exactly have good things to say.

He was accused of not paying his dancers.

Back in 2019, as his profile began to rise, allegations began arising about Hall’s refusal to pay backup dancers for their work. Complaints also came from well-known drag queen Manila Luzon and choreographer Thom White, Insider reports

Hall, however, denied the allegations.

His former personal assistant attempted to expose him on Twitter.

As reports began surfacing about Hall’s alleged failure to pay his team, his former assistant, Tommy McKissock, revealed that Hall had been the subject of past sexual assault allegations.

“I witnessed the allegations & I’ve seen him sexually assault more, unfortunately,” he wrote on Twitter, while alleging that Hall settled the accusations. “He’s a predator and more will come out. He has threaten [sic] me severely for my silence but he needs [to be] stopped.”
