Here’s the trailer for the indie comedy Flypaper which IFC Films is releasing in August. The film stars Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd, Jeffrey Tambor, along with Mekhi Phifer and Octavia Spencer (who of course will soon be seen in Disney’s The Help along with Viola Davis, which will be opening the week before).
The film was directed by Ron Minkoff who directed Stuart Little I and II and The Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy (Uh Oh… that’s not a good sign for Flypaper)
As you can see, it’s a low budget comedy about a team of dimwits who rob a bank and get more than they bargained for.
I must admit it doesn’t look all that interesting despite the boast in the trailer that it was written by the same guys who wrote The Hangover. Obviously, this was an earlier effort they probably had lying around collecting dust on the shelf.
