Spider-Man: Homecoming is only beginning of Zendaya's high-profile gigs for 2018.
The trailer dropped Wednesday morning for the upcoming P.T. Barnum biopic, The Greatest Showman, which is set to be released on Christmas. The film tells the story of P.T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman), founder of what became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Starring alongside Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya will play trapeze artist and the girlfriend of Efron's character Anne Wheeler.

The film also features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down, Aquaman) in a role. Also, while this hasn't been confirmed (and she doesn't appear in the trailer if so), for some time it's been rumored that Diahann Carroll would play Joyce Heth, a slave exhibited by Barnum under the claim that she nursed George Washington.
Laurence Mark, Jackman and Chernin Entertainment produced the film, while Tony Award nominees Justin Paul and Benj Pasek wrote original songs for it.
