Put comedians Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong in an animated comedy commissioned by Netflix, and you’ve got a recipe for comedy gold.

The first trailer for their upcoming show, Tuca & Bertie, debuted Thursday. The series chronicles the friendship between Tuca (Tiffany Haddish) and Bertie (Ali Wong), two 30-year-old bird women, who live in the same apartment building. The two birds are on the opposite ends of the personality spectrum. Tuca is a cocky toucan with a cocky exterior, whereas Bertie is a songbird with a propensity to daydream. The character of Tuca sounds just like the type of animated role fit for Haddish, given her carefree persona.

The series also stars Steven Yeun, with guest appearances from Nicole Byer, Tessa Thompson, Jermaine Fowler, Amber Ruffin, Tessa Thompson and Tig Notaro. Tuca & Bertie was created by Lisa Hanawalt, who decided to cast Haddish after seeing her performance as Dina in the 2017 film Girls Trip. “I saw her in Girls Trip and just fell in love with her,” Hanawalt said of Haddish. “It was the funniest movie I’d seen in years.”

Tuca & Bertie premieres on Netflix May 3.
