First, Vondie Curtis-Hall has been cast as a series regular on NBC’s futuristic thriller pilot Tin Man, from writer Ehren Kruger, which centers on a robot played by Patrick Heusinger, who is accused of killing his creator. Curtis-Hall will play a veteran homicide detective who is brought in to investigate the murder.

Second, Rose Rollins has been cast as a lead on TNT’s legal drama pilot Guilt By Association, which hails from former prosecutor Marcia Clarkwho gained fame as the head prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder case. The series will be based on a book she wrote. Guilt By Association centers on a Deputy District Attorney in the Special Trials Unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, who works closely with a tough female LAPD detective and female prosecutor. Rose Rollins will play the latter.

Third, Idara Victor has landed a recurring role in AMC‘s new series Turn – a period drama that follows American Revolutionary spies known as The Culper Ring, organized under the orders of George Washington in the summer of 1778 at the height of the American Revolutionary War. Idara Victor has signed up to play a 26-year-old African American woman who was sold into the Strong household (known Informants/agents who assisted The Culper Ring) at the age of 13 and grew up alongside Anna Strong, becoming her confidante and her housemaid. 

Fourth, Echo Kellum has been cast in a co-starring role in the NBC comedy pilot Two To Go, co-produced by Jason Bateman, which centers on longtime best friends (a man and a woman), and the challenges they face as young singles, even though their group of friends believe that they should be together. Kellum plays one of the friends, who’s also a stay-at-home dad.

And finally, 1 week before the 6th season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race on February 24th at 9 PM ET/PT, Logo TV has announced that the hit franchise has been greenlit for a 7th season. Plus, with production kicking off this week, a nationwide casting call has been announced, to find the “fiercest queens” across the land to compete on the show.
