Some TV casting news announced so far this week that you can use...

-- Laverne Cox and Lance Gross have booked co-lead and series regular roles opposite Meaghan Rath in "The Trustee," ABC’s hour-long comedy pilot from Warner Bros. TV, as well as Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s studio-based Brownstone Productions. "The Trustee" is described as a fun, female buddy cop comedy about Eliza Radley (Rath), a driven but stubborn detective who finds unlikely help from her precinct’s trustee (Cox), a larger-than-life ex-con finishing out her prison sentence doing menial tasks for the police department. Although these two have completely opposing views on crime and punishment, an entertaining and successful partnership is born. Gross will play police detective J.D. Hayes, who’s not only a colleague of Radley, he’s also dating her. He delights in her toughness but is not so thrilled when an old tragedy threatens their relationship, which he wants to take to the next level.

-- Roslyn Ruff is set for a series-regular role opposite Reba McEntire in ABC’s untitled Marc Cherry drama pilot, from ABC Studios. The project stars McEntire as Ruby Adair, the sheriff of colorful small town Oxblood, KY, who finds her red-state outlook challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent is sent to help her solve a horrific crime. Ruff will play Inez Winemiller, a delightful church lady who runs the local bed and breakfast.

-- Adrienne Warren has joined the series regular cast of "Perfect Citizen," CBS’ legal drama pilot from "The Good Wife" executive producer Craig Turk. Directed by Paris Barclay, "Perfect Citizen" centers on Deck (Noah Wyle), the former general counsel for the NSA who, after his involvement as a whistleblower in an international scandal, embarks on a new career at a storied law firm in Boston. Once there, he must face the reality that half the country thinks he’s our greatest patriot and the other half thinks he’s a traitor. Warren has signed up to play Ingrid, Deck’s deputy at the NSA, described as intelligent, resourceful, unflappable – and most importantly, unswervingly loyal.

-- Coby Bell has landed a co-starring role opposite Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker in Fox’s untitled Marvel action-adventure pilot, which is based on characters from the X-Men comic universe. Written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer, the pilot focuses on two ordinary parents (Moyer, Acker) who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Bell will play Jace Turner, a weathered man who quietly wrestles with the moral ambiguities of a job that regularly requires cold-blooded, calculating efficiency on a day-to-day basis.

That's all for now!
