In case you haven’t noticed, it’s TV pilot season… Here’s another batch of casting announcements you should know about.

— Saycon Sengbloh has booked a series regular role opposite Archie Panjabi in Fox’s untitled university thriller drama pilot from “Up in the Air” co-writer Sheldon Turner and executive produced by “Scandal” co-executive producer Judy Smith. The drama tackles the hot-button topic of college campus sexual assault. It centers on Matt Kincaid, the Junior Counsel of a prestigious Illinois university who must deal with an out-of-control scandal when a female student, Cassie, accuses several star football players of sexual assault. Kincaid gets to work with Jourdan Price (Panjabi), a crisis management consultant brought in to help with the scandal. Sengbloh will play Ava, a detective investigating several football players accused of assault.

— Larenz Tate is set as the male lead opposite Allison Miller in the ABC drama pilot “Salamander,” which is based on a Belgian format, and centers on Ethan (Tate), a brilliant but misanthropic engineer who recruits a skeptical Homeland Security psychiatrist, Nora (Miller), to help him track a mysterious bank robber whose theft of 66 specific safety deposit boxes, belonging to the elite and powerful, sets in motion a series of blackmails that might be linked to a greater conspiracy.

— Bernard Jones has booked a series regular role in ABC’s untitled rapper-turned-Mayor comedy pilot from “Hamilton” star Daveed Diggs, which centers on Courtney Rose, a struggling hip-hop artist who runs for mayor to promote his mixtape — and wins. Jones will play Jermaine, Courtney’s high-energy, fast-talking best friend who occasionally raps and becomes City Hall’s lead aide.

— Rachel Crow and Summer Parker have landed co-starring roles opposite Tim Meadows in ABC‘s untitled spinoff of comedy series “The Goldbergs.” Set in the 1990s, the project follows two high school teachers who become unlikely father figures to the kids at their Philadelphia school. The comedy centers on Lucy Winston, a single mother of three who is given a job by her brother, Andre Glascott (Meadows), as an administrative secretary at the William Penn Academy, where her brother is the Head of School. It’s the beginning of the school year, and her brother is in a power struggle with the infinitely energetic Coach Mellor, while Lucy is trying to deal with the ups and downs of her kids adjusting to their new school. Crow plays Lucy’s older daughter, Felicia Winston. A rebel in Doc Martens, she’s forcibly moved from her old school — where she was on a drink-and-drugs downward path — to her uncle’s academy. Parker will play Lucy’s younger daughter, Gigi Winston, a quirky gung-ho girl. Dorky and clueless and unable to notice when the “mean girls” are making fun of her, Gigi looks forward to making friends at William Penn Academy.

That’s all for now!
