TV Casting News: Idara Victor, Stephen Bishop, Tiffany Hines, Tory Kittles All Coming to a Small Screen Near You

nullIdara Victor ("Turn") has joined the cast of TNT’s "Rizzoli & Isles," playing a new team member named Nina Holiday –  a crime scene analyst, and a new regular role on the show, who’s a former cop from Chicago looking for a career change. As executive producer Jan Nash shared, "She sort of has a dramatic story, this secret, to tell about how she got to this place. We’re really letting her capabilities and really Idara’s charm – because she’s an incredibly charismatic actress – develop a relationship with the audience first and then telling you those things about her." Her character will be introduced on Tonight’s episode, airing at 9/8c.

Stephen Bishop ("Being Mary Jane") has booked the male lead role in Lifetime’s original movie "With This Ring," which is written and directed by Nzingha Stewart, and follows 3 single best friends who vow to get themselves hitched within a year, after they attend the lavish New Year’s Eve wedding of a 4th friend. Bishop joins Brooklyn Sudano, Jill Scott, Eve and Regina Hall, to play a character named Dr. Sean Braswell, who is described as a handsome, successful plastic surgeon who is a good man and father to Viviane’s (Jill Scott) 8-year-old son.

Tiffany Hines ("Nikita," "Bones") has landed a recurring on USA’s original medical drama series "Rush" which follows a Dr. William Rush (played by Tom Ellis), who is a “medical fixer” who privately caters to LA’s elite. Hines has signed up to play a character named Steffi, who is described as an expert at drumming up drama and chaos in any situation.

And finally, Tory Kittles co-stars in the upcoming BBC America drama series from writer and executive producer Glen Morgan ("The X-Files"), titled "Intruders," which is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others, set in the moody Pacific Northwest. Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, the series is based on British novelist Michael Marshall Smith’s "The Intruders," and will premiere on Saturday, August 23, 10pm ET. Jack Whelan (John Simm), a former LAPD cop with a troubled and violent history, finds the quiet idyllic life he has crafted with his wife, Amy (Mira Sorvino), shattered when she vanishes. Jack is drawn deeper into the mystery when his high school friend, Gary Fischer (played by Tory Kittles), shows up on his doorstep asking for help with a murder case. Initially dismissive of Gary’s claims, the more Jack investigates the more complex and surreal his discoveries become. With Gary’s help, Jack is determined to find and save the wife he loves, at any cost. The series is directed by Eduardo Sanchez ("The Blair Witch Project") and Daniel Stamm ("13 Sins," "The Last Exorcism"), the creative team includes acclaimed production designer Mark Freeborn ("Breaking Bad"), and the series has music by Bear McCreary ("The Walking Dead").
