Some TV casting news we previously missed that you should know…

— CBS has re-cast a lead role in the cop comedy pilot “Brothered Up,” replacing original star Romany Malco with D.L. Hughley who will star opposite co-lead Adhir Kalyan in the sitcom that centers around two cops — an emotionally guarded African American (Hughley) and an emotionally available Pakistani (Kalyan) — who have to find a way to connect as they patrol their Detroit neighborhood.

— Tracie Thoms has booked a recurring role on the third season of Lifetime’s hit series “UnReal,” playing Fiona, a close friend of Quinn (Constance Zimmer) since early in their careers. Fiona is described as a high-end executive in the entertainment industry; a fun-loving, gorgeous gay woman with swagger, says the press release.

— Erica Luttrell has booked a recurring role in CBS’ summer series “Salvation,” which follows MIT grad student Liam (Charlie Rowe) and tech billionaire Darius Tanz, who bring to a low-level Pentagon official a staggering discovery: An asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth. Liam and Darius team to launch a secret project to save the planet — a secret Liam must keep from the ones he loves. Luttrell will play Claire Rayburn, senior adviser to the president, who works closely with Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards on the secret project.

— Carter Redwood and Roland Buck have joined the cast of National Geographic Channel’s scripted miniseries “The Long Road Home,” which is based on Martha Raddatz’s New York Times bestseller, and tells the story of a heroic fight for survival during the Iraq War when the First Cavalry Division from Fort Hood, TX, was ferociously ambushed on April 4, 2004, in Sadr City, Baghdad — a day that came to be known as “Black Sunday.” Redwood will play Specialist Pedro Guzman, a 21-year-old from Brooklyn who is the platoon’s medic. And  Buck will play Specialist Martin, one of the rescuers.

—  Dulé Hill has joined the cast of USA Network’s “Suits,” for a season-long arc during Season 7. Hill has signed up to play Alex Williams, an old pal of Harvey’s (Gabriel Macht), who’s a big-shot at a rival law firm with a roster of impressive clients.

— And finally, Sheryl Lee Ralph has joined the second season cast of Amazon’s comedy series “One Mississippi” in a recurring role. Created by Tig Notaro and Diablo Cody, “One Mississippi” follows Tig’s return to her hometown in Mississippi when her mother passes away unexpectedly. As she copes with the tragedy and deals with events from her past, the series becomes a poignant and surprisingly humorous exploration of family. Ralph will play Felicia Hollingsworth, who is described as a self-contained, rational, precise professional woman.
