TV & Film Casting News For Britne Oldford, Leslie Odom Jr., Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Cory Hardrict

nullBritne Oldford has been cast as a series regular on ABC’s Richard LaGravenese untitled drama pilot, which is said to be in the vein of Dangerous Liaisons. Set in New York, it’ll revolve around the love and rivalry between two equally-matched, powerful socialites, who play out their obsessive attraction and seduction of each other through their manipulation of others. Britne Oldford will play a character named Cecelia, who’s described as the No. 1 fashion model/cover girl in the world who is publicly *out* as a virgin, yet in every photo shoot is portrayed as sexual and unattainable. She’s engaged to marry one of the dueling socialites, who also happens to be 30 years older than she is.

Next, Leslie Odom Jr. has joined the cast of NBC‘s drama pilot State Of Affairs. He joins Katherine Heigl who will play a CIA agent who counsels the president on high-stakes incidents around the world. Odom has signed up to play a character named Mitchell Manning, who’s Chief of Staff to the President of the U.S.

Third, Cynthia Addai-Robinson has been cast as the female lead in the History Channel’s miniseries Texas Rising, which will detail the Texas Revolution against Mexico, and the rise of the legendary Texas Rangers. Robinson will play Emily West, a mythical historical figure, aka “the Yellow Rose of Texas,” who gets caught in a love triangle between characters played by Bill Paxton and Oliver Martinez.

Queen Latifah will guest-star on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, in a season 5 episode to play a character named Esther Jean Johnson, the aunt of Elka’s (Betty White’s) rival for City Council. Esther takes over in the debates when her nephew becomes incapacitated.

Hot in Cleveland kicks off its fifth season on Wednesday, March 26 at 10/9c.

And last but not least, this time in film, Cory Hardrict has been cast in Clint Eastwood’s next feature project, American Sniper, to play a Navy SEAL. The film stars Bradley Cooper as real-life decorated marksman Chris Kyle, whose memoir, American Sniper: The Autobiography Of The Most Lethal Sniper In U.S. Military History, serves as the basis for the film, which is set up at Warner Bros.

That’s all for now…!
