A Dancing With The Stars has shared his thoughts on the rumor of Tyra Banks’s exit from the show. Cody Rigsby gave his opinion of banks and reacted to the mixed opinions about the host.

1. Rigsby weighs in

Rigsby told US Magazine, “Tyra, I feel like was such a polarizing figure. Either you loved her as a host or people were sometimes mad about it. I don’t know. She was great.”

He continued, “It was so iconic meeting her and she was such a lovely person so if she wants to do the job, I hope she’s back. If she doesn’t, then somebody else.

2. Banks took over hosting the show in 2020 after the previous host's Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were ousted from the show.

She was previously in the news when Brooke Burke called her a “diva” behind the scenes making onlookers curious about Banks and her behavior behind the scenes. Burke said on a podcast, There’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m not saying anything bad about her. Be a diva, “It’s [just] not the place to be a diva. Your pros are the diva[s], your winners, your perfect 10 score dancer who’s never done it — that defines diva in the ballroom.”

3. She also talked about the adjustment Banks had to make saying:

“Change is hard for everyone. They’ve gone through a lot on that show, that’s for sure. You’re just not the star as the host. It’s just not about you as the host, right? So, yeah, I think Tyra is great in a shining role. I will just say that.”

4. 'DWTS' is moving to Disney+ from ABC and the move is what sparked rumors of Banks's departure.

Rigsby is excited about the possibilities on Disney+ saying, “I think streaming Dancing With the Stars is going to be interesting because — I don’t know how it’s going play out but it’s going to be interesting. I always feel like the fan base is specific and I don’t know if there will people that will stream. But hey, Disney executives know more than I will.”

He continued, “I think it’ll be great because people will be able to find the show a lot easier and it’s not just like you have to show up at 8 p.m. and watch it. So, I’m also interested to see how they do voting, how it’s going to work.”
