Tyrese Gibson is getting vulnerable about his mental health.

According to Atlanta Black Star, The Fast and the Furious franchise star opened up about his mental health on Instagram this week. His post, featuring a picture of himself with his late costar Paul Walker, explained how Tyrese still needs help getting over the loss of Walker as well as other major losses in his life, including director John Singleton and Tyrese’s mother, Priscilla Murray Gibson, who died this February from COVID-19 and pneumonia.

"I think I need more therapy. I'm still not over losing my mom, Paul, John Singleton, and Lashawn Daniels," he wrote. "When people pass on…[t]hey just leave us all here to deal with it. That's really painful stuff pray for me y'all…..lately, I've been unraveling, painfully processing this all…"

He also opened up about his painful divorce from his wife Samantha Lee Gibson, writing, “This divorce has to end she has dragged this all out for a year and 8 months. I just want peace and to be left alone. Coming up on 3 weeks since I’ve been able to record my new #BeautifulPain album I have left PAUSED….”

"God is trying to tell me something so I've decided to pause and receive whatever he's trying to tell me," he continued, putting a hope for his "hero" Denzel Washington to call him.

Tyrese is often trolled on social media for his mental health, but the reality is that not only has the pandemic affected everyone, but stress affects everyone differently.

Tyrese is often trolled on social media for his mental health, but the reality is that not only has the pandemic affected everyone, but stress affects everyone differently. Suffering from repeated traumas, such as losing loved ones, obviously affects how a person might view the world. Here’s hoping for Tyrese to feel healing and peace during this time.
