Universal has given The Photograph a release date made for lovers!
The Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield-toplined film will hit theaters on Valentine’s Day next year — Feb. 14, 2020.
The film has a sprawling ensemble cast alongside Rae and Stanfield, which includes Chante Adams, Lil Rel Howery, Y’Lan Noel, Chelsea Peretti, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jasmine Cephas Jones, Teyonah Parris, Courtney B. Vance, Rob Morgan, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
The Photograph focuses on “intertwining love stories in the past and present.” While the plot is still mostly unknown, we do have a bit of detail about two characters, in light of Ben-Adir’s casting, which was announced Tuesday. Rae’s character is named Mae and Ben-Adir will play Harper, Mae’s ex.
It is directed and written by Stella Meghie. The film is produced by Will Packer and his producing partner James Lopez and is executive produced by Meghie and Rae.
