Venus Williams is teaming with production company 3 Ball Entertainment for a new unscripted series about women entrepreneurs that will be titled “Deals in Heels.”

Williams will appear in the series alongside a panel of other women business leaders who will serve as mentors for, and potential investors in women participants with up-and-coming businesses.

In each episode, 5 women entrepreneurs with start-ups will pitch the panel, and the 2 with the strongest presentations will be invited up to the “executive suite” for more extensive discussions about their respective companies. In the end, assuming each business plan is promising, the panel will commit one month toward mentoring the entrepreneurs on all aspects of their businesses, setting critical benchmarks to be met. And at the end of the month of fine-tuning, the two entrepreneurs will return to the executive suite to re-pitch, with just one of them receiving an investment from the panel.

“As an advocate for gender and pay equality, I’m thrilled to be working with 3 Ball Entertainment on this project that fosters and supports trailblazing women who are actively pursuing their professional aspirations,” Williams said.

Williams will host and executive produce the series, alongside 3 Ball executive producers Todd A. Nelson, Ross Weintraub and DJ Nurre. Staness Jonekos and Deborah Perry Piscone will co-executive produce.

The series isn’t attached to any network at this time.
