President Obama literally dropped the mic at what was easily the *blackest* White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which took place last night. I’m sure you’ve all heard about it by now, if you didn’t watch it; especially if you’ve been on Facebook or Twitter at all today. It’s the talk of the social media sphere! And rightfully so. Obama is a man on his way out of the White House, and he showed it. And it was hilarious!

Even more biting was host Larry Wilmore’s speech, which spared absolutely no one – taking a few shots at the President himself. You could feel the tension in the air with each crack from Wilmore, leaving the audience of politicians, journalists, and celebrities seemingly speechless. There was very little laughter in the room, and even some initial heckling, as Wilmore poked, jabbed and, in some cases, flat-out knocked a few heads off with his deliveries. As the saying goes, the truth hurts.

His ending salute to Obama, which included use of the so-called “N” word, was one for the ages! This might be the first time in the history of White House Correspondents Dinners that the host has actually uttered that word in any context.
