Scintilla follows a mercenary who’s released from prison and is assigned to a mission to lead a team into a former Soviet state and infiltrate an illegal militia uprising.
Abel Powell is released and given the chance to regroup his team of skilled mercenaries for one last job. A top scientist will guide them half a mile underground through an ex-soviet bunker to extract the vital specimens and information being paid for by a mysterious backer, but what they seek should never have been found!
Starring alongside Thomas in the ensemble cast are Perri Hanson, John Lynch, Craig Conway, Morjana Alaoui, Ned Dennehy, Adam Fogerty, and Beth Winslet.
The film is produced by Lionel Hicks and Craig Conway for Forefront Features and Liquid Noise Films with co-producers Doug Abbott and John Wolstenholme.
No release ETA yet for the UK production. No Stateside distribution at the moment.
On Antonia Thomas’ slate: she co-stars in a film adaptation of the stage musical Sunshine On Leith; she also stars in Northern Soul, a film set in 1974, which tells the tale of two white British friends whose horizons are opened up by the discovery of black American soul music.
