Forest Whitaker and Common co-star in this indie crime drama alongside Michael Chiklis and Ray Liotta, titled Pawn.
The film, directed by first-timer David A. Armstrong, tells the story of a hostage situation gone terribly wrong, and is produced by Chiklis’ production company Extravaganza Films.
A group of gunmen who hold up a diner only to discover that the establishment is owned by the mob. The situation quickly escalates and cops, feds and mafia are introduced to the hostage situation, as an ex-con becomes entangled in a manipulative chess game between them all.
Pawn will be released by Anchor Bay Films, but no word yet on when that'll happen.
Given the cast of mostly strong actors, this should be something worth seeing; but the trailer below doesn't sell me.
