Lionsgate has dropped a new trailer for Antebellum. Right now, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 21. The initial April release date was delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The film is from activists Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz. QC Entertainment, the production company behind Get Out and Us, are producers on the project.

Here’s the official description:  Successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late.

The film also stars Marque Richardson, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles and Jena Malone
