Well, he HAS been at it for over a quarter of a century, and with the immense success he's enjoying in other areas – books, radio, TV, film, and probably more, it makes sense.

Can't do it all; too much of a load to carry I think.

Steve Harvey headlined his final stand-up show event, exactly a week ago, Thursday, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, in what he called "bigger than any show I’ve done so far" – a 2-hour finale that was part of his nationwide farewell comedy tour. It also kicked off this year’s Hoodie Awards (the annual event Harvey co-founded that honors local black-owned businesses, schools and religious and community leaders).

The full MGM Grand show will be available on Pay Per View and VOD eventually.

Up next for Harvey is a syndicated daytime TV talk show, which debuts on September 4.

The road to this final show has been an amazing journey, doing stand-up for the past 27 years, and I can’t thank fans enough after reflecting on all those years on stage,” Harvey said in a statement.
