Self-proclaimed anime superfan Michael B. Jordan voices the main character in an upcoming series from Rooster Teeth, a streaming service for gamers that launched in 2016.

Jordan portrays Julian Chase in, gen:LOCK. A description reads: Fifty years in the future, an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world.

Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, Asia Kate Dillon, Golshifteh Farahani and David Tennant also voice characters.

gen:LOCK is set to premiere January 26 on Rooster Teeth, which is available on iOS, Android, Xbox One, Apple TV, and at RoosterTeeth.con. Memberships starting at $4.99 a month.

The first episode will be free to watch for everyone.
