Spike Lee’s latest work is directing the music video for Stew’s anti-Trump son, ‘Klown Wit Da Nuclear Code.’
The music video premiered exclusively on Variety. In a statement, Lee said, “This song is in the American tradition of protest songs. The lyrics are self explanatory — there’s a reason the words appear on the picture. There is no album [attached to the song], it’s one and done (and hopefully not the end of the world as we know it).”
Stew won a Tony in 2008 for the musical, Passing Strange, a dramedy about a young black man who goes through a journey of self-discovery while in Europe.
