Warner Bros. has released the trailer for its upcoming film, Geostorm, set for release in October.
The film’s description reads, “After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world’s leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong—the system built to protect the Earth is attacking it, and it’s a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything…and everyone along with it.”
Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) and Adepero Oduye (12 Years A Slave) will appear in the film. Both have minor appearances in the trailer, so it’s suggested that they may not have the biggest of roles in the film.
Beetz has been a hot commodity since her breakout role in Donald Glover’s Atlanta, booking a starring role as Domino in Deadpool 2.
The film is Dean Devlin’s feature film directorial debut. The film stars Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Maria Lara, Daniel Wu , Ed Harris and Andy Garcia.
