Atlanta based filmmaker Artemus Jenkins, whose previous works include the web series documentary "P.O.P." about the women who work in an Atlanta strip club, and his relationship dramedy "Smoke and Mirrors," has a new and decidedly different project coming soon – a documentary entitled "If you Know the Words Feel Free".
Interestingly, the film was not originally conceived as a documentary but, according to the filmmaker himself, was first designed as a series of five minute short films intended to highlight some of the Atlanta creative artists during Afropunk week in the city, but "then it kinda turned into something else".
After several days of shooting and over a week of editing, he had tuned his modest little project into a feature length documentary about the artists and their lives.
Jenkins describes the film: "An idea we all have to confront as adults is we don’t always know what the hell we’re doing, even when we think we do. Sean Fahie, a visual artist and local renaissance man is at the center of a conundrum many a creative soul has encountered; ‘So what exactly are you doing with your creativity?’ Turning to a diverse circle of colleagues for answers, ranging from musicians to painters, fashion designers and BMX riders, this film is an exploration of a creative culture and community of people all with varying life experiences and backgrounds, providing insight on living while struggling for your passion".

The film will soon make its premiere online, but before it does here the trailer:
