I appreciate this ongoing series from Variety, titled “Actors on Actors,” which features pairs of actors interviewing each other. It’s not entirely unlike the roundtables that The Hollywood Reporter produces every year, also during awards season; but I love the one-on-one sans moderator format of Variety’s series.

The “Actors on Actors” series is now in its 5th season. Of those that have been made available online thus far, you’ll find 5 episodes embedded below: the first features Viola Davis and Tom Hanks, who cover a range of topics, including sex scenes and diversity on TV vs film; the second conversation is between Taraji P. Henson and Ryan Reynolds, who chat about everything from bad auditions to social media, to their characters Deadpool and Cookie Lyon; third features Annette Bening & Naomie Harris discussing a range of topics, including the roles for women in today’s films; conversations between Dev Patel and Octavia Spencer, as well as Mahershala Ali & Greta Gerwig, round out the series.
Each video is 20-30 minutes long (last year, they were much shorter at 10 minutes on average).
