Harry Potter fans! You’ve ever wondered what happens if Hermione got to be the center of the story? Hermione Granger and the Quarter Life Crisis (HGQLC) is a fan-made web series that follows a 25-year-old Hermione Granger (portrayed by Ashley Romans) in a post-Hogwarts World. Hailing from Sunshine Moxie Entertainment, HGQLC was created by Eliyannah Amirah Yisrael who also serves as showrunner and director. The series is written by Jessica Jenks and L. Olive Hernandez while Megan Grogan produces.

Inspired by the Harry Potter series and J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore posts, HGQLC takes the heroine on a different route where she leaves her boyfriend Ron Weasley and her Ministry of Magic career and for Los Angeles where she reunites with her former Hogwarts roommate, Parvati Patil (Sinead Persaud). Along with engaging familiar characters such as muggle cousin LaQuita Granger (Tamara French) and former rival Draco Malfoy (Nicholas D. Johnson). There are new characters to get to know such as computer hacker Juniper Dias (Stephanie Ezekiel), a wander-lusting research Benjamin van der Brahm (DJ Ester), Quidditch star Kang Tae Joon (Chase Maser) and wizard activist Leslie “Dez” Desmond (Robert Dowdy).

Yisrael’s inspiration comes from being an avid fan of Hermione when she read the Harry Potter series books and she was eager to see Hermione’s character grow from the “settling down” she did at the end of the series.
