We’ve seen Wendell Pierce display his acting talents in a variety of movies and television shows like The Wire, Suits and Confirmation. Fans of Jurnee Smollett-Bell are familiar with her transformative performance in the coming of age drama Eve’s Bayou, as well as her portrayal as Rosalee in the Misha Green-helmed drama Underground. Now, fans of both thespians will see them put their acting talents to work in One Last Thing, directed by Tim Rouhana.
The movie, which just released its first trailer on Tuesday (May 15), chronicles the life of Dylan Derringer, a lonely dentist who resides in Florida. The dentist soon finds his life is upended upon the discovery that he has an adult daughter named Lucy who lives in Brooklyn. From there, an eventful journey in which Dylan ventures outside his comfort zone into a memorable period of self-discovery ensues. The project, which is Rouhana’s directorial debut, was announced in April 2016.
