Wendy Williams may no longer be with Kevin Hunter anymore, but that doesn’t mean he’s not her biggest champion. After 13 years on air, Williams missed the entire final season of The Wendy Williams Show due to reported health conditions. In her absence, guest co-hosts filled in, with Sherri Shepherd eventually taking her spot permanently and being given her own daytime show. In the show’s finale, a video montage of Williams played, but Williams was not present.

Her ex and former manager, Kevin Hunter, views it as a sign of disrespect.

“It is the first time in the history of talk shows for this to be done, especially for a show that has been on for more than 10 years,” Hunter continued. “There is absolutely no reason why a bigger celebration that involved Wendy couldn’t happen… I know the blood, sweat, and tears that went into making the show such a success, and I am not happy with the way the show is going out on a personal level, and I am truly sorry that the show’s fans have to see it go down the way that it is.”

Williams is reportedly not in the best shape despite being seen out in recent months and doing interviews

She’s reportedly unable to care for herself and is on a mental decline, which her camp has denied. Williams has promised to make a comeback, with reports that she’s getting her own podcast. Nothing has been confirmed.
