Wendy Williams Makes Rare Public Appearance At Met Gala After Party With Jason Lee

Wendy Williams has broken from her currently reclusive lifestyle to make an unexpected appearance at a 2022 Met Gala party Monday night.

Williams came as the guest of Jason Lee, the founder of Hollywood Unlocked.

Lee posted a video to Instagram saying, “Yo, came to New York for the Met Gala, but I wasn’t going to come outside without the sexiest date in New York City.”

Lee showed Williams in the video saying, “How you doin’?” before the video ended.

The outing is a happier moment for Williams, who has endured her television program, 'The Wendy Williams Show,'  getting cancelled and being replaced as host.

Her show will be rebooted as one hosted by Sherri Shepherd, who filled in for her as Williams took an extended leave of absence to take care of her health.

Williams has also battled against a former representative who tried speaking for her once news of her show’s cancellation was made public. Other public squabbles include fighting back against bank Wells Fargo, who claimed that Williams needs a conservator to manage her business and assets.

Williams has told the public that she feels she is being persecuted and, contrary to rumors, is mentally healthy enough to take care of her financial affairs. She also declared she would be back with a new talk show soon.
