Wesley Snipes' The Art of War Coming to Blu-Ray Disc In January

Yeah, I know exactly what you’re thinking. "The Art of War"? Did I see that? I know I did. At least I think I did. I really don’t

remember it all that well, but I’m sure I did. Anything with Wesley Snipes I

would go see – good, bad and indifferent.

He has it all – acting talent, martial arts

skills, and is pure magnetism on the screen. It’s just that his 2000 Warner

film "The Art of War" isn’t one of his more memorable films. It’s no Blade or

Blade II. Hey, it isn’t even Passenger 57.

What it is,  is basically a mid-level routine Hollywood studio action

thriller with no particular distinguishing features in which Snipes plays a

sort of special agent for an United Nations’ covert dirty-tricks squad, who gets

framed for the murder of a Chinese ambassador while investigating a scheme to

smuggle illegal Vietnamese refugees into the country.

Granted it’s not the most original plot line,

but it’s enjoyable enough in its way and passes away the time nicely.

So therefore it’s my duty to tell you that

Warner Home Video will be releasing "The Art of War" on Blu-Ray on Jan 15, 2015. No details yet about any special features or extras.

Here’s the trailer:
