Outside of acting, she is also known for her music career. In 2002, she was one of the original four members of the R&B girl group Isyss, which released their debut album The Way We Do later that year. After the group disbanded, she later joined the R&B trip Bad Gyrl, which also disbanded.

La’Miya has been married to Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger since 2015. Bellinger has written sings for the likes of Ashanti, Fantasia, Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, and Teyana Taylor, Usher and Keke Palmer. In 2011, Bellinger won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for his work on the Chris Brown album F.A.M.E. Bellinger released his debut album The Rebirth in 2014. His most recent studio album, 1-800-HIT-EAZY, was released in February.

Good recently appeared with her sister in the Lifetime film, Death Saved by Life. In an interview with Shadow and Act, she said, “I had to dust myself off because I hadn’t worked in a while and the interesting approach to Death Saved my Life for me is because I wanted to do something fresh.”

“I wanted to bring something new and I wanted to elevate myself. Megan’s my youngest sister but I felt like I had to sit back and she mentored me through this one,” she explained. “There were a lot of tools and tips that she gave me. We rehearsed together and went over lines and had exercises and things together. I look at her with such admiration and inspiration because she really does put hard work into every single role that she does. She really takes her craft super seriously. So I really took the time to listen to her in the season and not be the big sister and truly become the student this time.”
