Whoopi Goldberg has revealed a group of entertainers she wants to join her in the Tyler Perry-produced Sister Act 3.

Goldberg talked about her hopes for Keke Palmer to join on Hell of a Week with Charlamagne Tha God. She also wants some other Black pop stars to join the film.

"I'm gonna ask Keke to come. You know, I want everybody to come in," she said. "I want Lizzo to come." She also added that she wants Nicki Minaj--"the girl with the chest," as she called her--to join the film.

“I want as many people who want to have some fun because I really, desperately need to have some fun,” she said.

The film is currently in development with Tyler Perry developing the film. Goldberg will reprise her role as Deloris Van Cartier, who had to go undercover for her safety as Sister Mary Clarence, a nun. While at the convent, Deloris makes friends and helps the choir become a talented pillar of their community.

Perry said of the film in 2021 that he feels the film is "just what the country needs."

“We need that feel-good moment in the movies where you go, ‘Oh my God, I left there singing.’ That’s my hope,” he said.

Perry gave some more updates this year, saying in May that the film is “pretty far down the line, and in the script and in the production of it.”

“I’m really excited for it,” he said.

Perry also talked about the film when he joined 'The View' panel in September.

“I love the idea of us making this happen but you know, the Hollywood system moves a little slower than I’d like to,” he said. “So we’ve got a good script. We’re off to a great start. We’re just trying to get everybody moving in the right direction so we can get it along.”

In September, Palmer took a chance when she was a guest on 'The View' in 2021, asking Goldberg if she could be a part of the film.

“Now Whoopi, I gotta shoot my shot, like I did with Issa [Rae] a little bit ago. I heard that Tyler Perry is doing Sister Act 3 and I just want you to know I’m available for the job. Any job,” she said. Goldberg then revealed that she had already brought her name up [in] discussions.

A fan also made a mock poster featuring Palmer's name alongside Bette Midler and Goldberg's.

Palmer wrote in response on Twitter, “God bless y’all for this manifestation over my life. @WaltDisneyCo, this is what they asked for I’m just here to relay.”
