As Us is one of the biggest movies of 2019, you are likely to see a ton of folks dressed like The Tethered out for Halloween.

However, one particular person isn’t a fan of people dressing up as our favorite Us characters for Halloween. That person is none other than the film’s director, Jordan Peele.

On the red carpet at the Governors Awards, Peele spoke to Variety about people dressing up as The Tethered.

He said, “Now, in Halloween season, I’ve started receiving a lot of people in Tethered costumes, which, it doesn’t make me comfortable. You know, I like the fact that the movie is happening, it’s a phenomenon, it’s resonating, it’s iconic–but, I don’t know, there’s something about… it’s like, they’re impersonating the stalkers and sending me stuff.”

And just so you know, if you do decide to dress up as The Tethered, don’t send Peele a picture of it. “Don’t send me pictures of yourself dressed up as creepy characters,” he said.
