'Woke' Season 2 Trailer: Lamorne Morris Is Back As An Artist Stuck Between Activism And 'Woke' Capitalism

Hulu’s Woke is coming back soon for another season of political correctness gone awry.

The series stars Lamorne Morris as Keef Knight, a cartoonist who becomes an activist after capitalizing the current “woke” trend in pop culture. This season, he’s discovering just how real his activism might be when it comes to the almighty dollar. According to the official description:

Cartoonist Keef Knight is now a popular activist on the rise, but he’s facing a world where “woke” has become big business. Can Keef and his friends bring about real change, or is it just about the dollar$? And can Keef navigate this new world without destroying what he’s become? Inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, “Woke” continues to upend Black nerd and activist culture, deftly satirizing with a wink and a smile.

The series also stars Blake Anderson, T. Murph, Sasheer Zamata and JB Smoove. The trailer for the second season is below.

Keith Knight and Marshall Todd developed the concept for Woke and are the series’ executive producers with Anthony King, Maurice “Mo” Marable, Richie Schwartz, John Will, Will Gluck and Eric Christian Olsen. Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature are co-producing.
