The first trailer has been released for Live Nation’s first scripted project, The After Party. The coming-of-age comedy, which comes to Netflix August 24, stars Kyle (credited as Kyle Harvey), Harrison Holzer, Jordan Rock, Harrison Holzer, Shelly Henning, French Montana, Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood, DJ Khaled and Wiz Khalifa.

The film is developed by Lee “Q” O’Denat, the late founder of WorldStarHipHop and is meant to be in the vein of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and American Graffiti. The WorldStar stamp is all over this film, including a blatant moment in the trailer when a concert-goer yells “WorldStar!” as he livestreams aspiring rapper Owen’s (Kyle) violent vomiting and seizure onstage.

The After Party focuses on two best friends, Owen and Jeff (Kyle, Holzer), who try to get a record deal before one departs for college and the other for military service. According to Deadline, “In one wild night, a lot will go down before the sun comes up, and these two lifelong friends either have succeeded on their quest or must go their separate ways.”

Along with Live Nation Productions, The After Party is produced by Def Pictures, WorldStarHipHop and Hunting Lane Films.
