A24 has dropped the first trailer for X, the upcoming horror-thriller film from writer-director Ti West.

The description reads: In 1979, a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast finds themselves fighting for their lives.

The film stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, Owen Campbell, Stephen Ure, and Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi.

Genre filmmaker West has made films such as The Innkeepers, You’re Next and more. He’s also directed episodes of The Exorcist, Them, Tales from the Loop and more.

X is a co-production between A24 and BRON Studios. Mescudi also executive produces under his Mad Solar banner. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and Ashley Levinson also executive produce. The film doesn’t have a release date set yet.
