The hit series Yellowjackets has announced its return for its second season on Showtime.

The new season will stream to Showtime subscribers March 24, and will debut on-air March 26 at 9/8c. Watch the Season 2 announcement below.

The season earned a rare 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes as well as seven Emmy nominations. It also became the second-most streamed series in Showtime history, averaging over 5 million weekly viewers across platforms.

The series is created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and stars Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci and Tawny Cypress. Joining the main cast are Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell with Elijah Wood joining in a season-long guest arc.

Fans will find audiences back in the fray of the mystery revolving around former high school soccer players who are now adults, but remember the fateful time they spent in a forest after a plane crash.

Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, YELLOWJACKETS is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

Season two actors also include Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole and Kevin Alves.

Yellowjackets is executive produced by Lyle and Nickerson and Kevin Alves, who also all serve showrunners. Creative Engine’s Drew Comins also executive produces. Karyn Kusama directed the pilot.
